Formulas used

  • ACOS = ad spend ÷ ad sales × 100
  • ROAS = ad sales ÷ ad spend
  • Break-even ACOS = profit margin before ads

Assumptions and limits

  • Margin is the margin before advertising, after product cost and marketplace fees.
  • Ad sales use the attribution window shown in your ad console.
  • The pre-filled numbers are only an example to show how the tool works.

Results are estimates from your inputs, not financial advice or a guarantee of outcome.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good ACOS?

There is no universal number. A good ACOS is below your break-even, or higher only when you have a clear launch goal.

ACOS or ROAS?

They show the same relationship in different ways. ROAS is the inverse of ACOS.

What about organic sales?

ACOS ignores them. Use the TACoS calculator for the whole-business view.
